Yu-Gi-Oh! The Dawn of a New Era is a fully free to play online game. No person will ever be charged for making an account, using the game or for access to the latest cards and banlists. This includes both our YGOPRO and YGOPRO 2 versions across all supported operating systems.

There are a number of costs associated with hosting a game like this. The majority of online games, ours included, run on a Client/Server model. All clients connect to a central server which lets you play against each other. The server is responsible for hosting every single duel as well as hosting the dueling robots, player database and more. This kind of model has many advantages, it makes it impossible for players to cheat by modifying their game files since everything is handled by the server and its arguably by far the easiest method of connecting thousands of players together. The server machines are essentially powerful computers designed to run 24/7 on extremely fast internet connections. We have to pay monthly to rent the servers for this game. Renting the servers is our biggest and primary cost, there are other minor costs such as: web-hosting, SSL certificates, domain names and more.
In order for us to be able to continue hosting this game we need your help, you can support us by donating and helping us reach our monthly goals. The current progress of our monthly donation goal can be seen on the popup warning that comes up after you log in, if you have disabled this popup then you can head over to the store and click Get Diamonds > View Monthly Donation Goal Status. The donation popup can be disabled by heading over to the home page and then going into the Settings (gear icon in the bottom right of the Launcher home page), in the Settings window uncheck 'Show Advertisements' and click Save, the donation popup will not come up after your next login. The progress bar will be in a different color depending on which milestone we reached.

- No donation milestone currently reached
ORANGE
- Basic Server that can support a maximum of 800 simultaneous users without lag. (Queue System for anyone logging in while 800 users are online)
- At least 1 Update per Month (New Cards, Banlists & Bug Fixes)
YELLOW
- Servers that can support all users without lag
- At least 2 Updates per Month (New Cards, Banlists & Bug Fixes)
LIGHT GREEN
- Servers that can support all users without lag
- At least 2 Updates per Month (New Features, Cards, Banlists & Bug Fixes)
Reaching this milestone means that I (the owner) can work on this game as a part time job or that I can hire part time freelancers to work on:
- Expanding support for other operating systems: Android, Linux & Others.
- Large time consuming new features, for example a Campaign Mode.
GREEN
- Servers that can support all users without lag.
- At least 2 Updates per Month (New Features, New Cards, Banlist & Bug Fixes)
Reaching this milestone means that I (the owner) can work on this game as a full time job and/or that I can hire freelancers to work on:
- Expanding support for other operating systems: Android, Linux & Others.
- Large time consuming new features, for example a Campaign Mode.
We will continue accepting donations even though we reached 100% of our goal, the more over we go the more people I can hire to finish the features faster.
Some small amount of money may be put aside as a security fund in case we don't reach our ORANGE/YELLOW donation goals in the future.

How to Donate?
- Inside the Launcher click 'Store' > 'Get Diamonds' > 'BUY DIAMONDS'. You will be taken to our website where you can donate.
When will I receive the diamonds after I donate?
- You should receive the diamonds immediately, in case you don't you can open an in-game ticket, to open an in-game ticket open your launcher and go to Conclave > Help > Create Ticket.
What payment methods do you accept?
- Currently we accept PayPal which lets you use Credit Cards, Debit Cards and your PayPal account balance if you have a PayPal account. Registering a PayPal account is not required to pay with a Credit Card. Some gift cards such as prepaid VISA and Master Cards may be accepted through PayPal, double check that your gift card is accepted by PayPal before buying it.
Will The Server be Shut Down if ORANGE donation level isn't reached?
- The server would not be shut down immediately next month as we have put aside some money from previous months (See GREEN Milestone). Not reaching the ORANGE donation level continuously for a few months in a row may result in a permanent server shut down.
Why are the required donations displayed in percentages and not in actual dollar amounts?
- The price of servers and the number of active users is not fixed and changes from month to month, as such the required amount of money to reach certain donation milestones may vary.

Did you develop this entire game?
- No, our game is based on an open source project which does not have online multiplayer and lacks some features such as resizing, skin, chat and others. The original project is still updated and we continue to use card scripts and many new features developed there. The project is decentralized and any programmers may contribute by programming new card scripts or in-game features. There are no ways to donate money to the original project.
Are these donations tax deductible?
No, we are not a registered charity.
Can I finance an entire new feature, for example a campaign mode, 2v1 mode or anime cards?

Do donators get special game breaking privileges such as new cards before everyone else, better luck when drawing or punishment avoidance when they break the rules?
No. Donators primarily get access to cosmetic upgrades, to see the full list of items that can be obtained by donating visit our Store. No item that gives donators an advantage in duels will ever be available.
